Finally some things to post!

Look Who's Home!!
Yep, my bud Chase got home from his mission October 3rd. It has been fun to see him and reminice. I know you may be wondering what is happening with that. . . :) To make a long story short, we are just friends.
(Call for the long story and more details if you'd like :)

I have great roommates and friends!! Between work, school and other things we try to find some time to have fun. We are really good at that actually, but probably shouldn't as much as we do :) Life is good though, we should enjoy it!

Long Time No Blog. . .

Wow, it's been a while, sorry everyone! I have had quite the summer so far with trips, school, work, and big events happening. I will just quickly share what's been up lately. . . .

So right now I am in Price. I just finished summer classes and passed off my IV certification today!! Does anyone want to volunteer for practice? :) They only have us practice on mannequins here and pass off on a computer simulator, so the first time I give an IV to a patient, it will be the first time ever on a human. . ! Scary thought huh? Maybe I'll have to talk some people here into being my guinea pigs.

The past few weeks I have been training for my new job as an LPN. It is at the assisted living facility that I worked at as a CNA here in Price, but when I got my license, they asked if I would like to take the LPN position there. I started all by myself last Saturday and will now be working a pretty steady schedule starting on Friday. It's a really good job. It definitely took some getting used to with it being new and everything, but I think I am starting to get the hang of it!

I will also be staying busy with my new church callings, but they are definitely the best part out of all the things I am doing now. I am a Relief Society teacher and 1st counselor in the Stake Relief Society Presidency. I love being in Relief Society, it has been probably my favorite calling. Being a teacher will definitely help me learn a lot too, that is something I've never been too good at!

So here I am in Price just working and getting ready for the RN program to start on the 19th. Nothing too exciting. But I just thought I'd update my blog, my mom says she's sick of seeing that little chipmunk! Oh and sorry there are no pictures. . . When I was on my trip in Nauvoo, I dropped my camera (mom and dad's old one) and the screen busted! So, I am pictureless until I start making the bucks with my new job . . . (jk, the big bucks aren't rolling in yet :)

What I did today. . . :)

Today I hiked to Timpanogos Caves for the first time. It was really cool to walk through the caves and see all the formations. I wish I would have taken more pictures, but here is the view from the hike about half-way up to the caves and a picture of my friend feeding a chipmunk.

And then. . .

I went long boarding, for my first time, down Provo Canyon in the dark :) Sounds smart huh? It was a blast though! It was so fun I couldn't even stay on my board, jk. I was actually going pretty fast and there were some people sitting on the path. I didn't want to hit them so I was told to bail if I was going to fast to stop. . . Well I bailed and didn't quite catch my footing. I only rolled once and it didn't hurt much while it was happening, although I am a little sore now. I wasn't going to tell my mom about this, she probably wouldn't have approved, but she will end up seeing this so, I'm sorry mom. At least I updated my blog :)

Nauvoo Trip!!

Here are some pictures from the Nauvoo trip I just got back from. I went with the Price Institute. It was great, we were able to visit Independence, Liberty Jail, Far West, Adam-ondi-ahman, Haun's Mill, Nauvoo, Carthage Jail, and Winter Quarters. Curtis, Cindy and the kids were able to come see me when we were in Independence, so there are pictures of them too. It was so good to see them!

Check out my Slide Show!

LPN Pinning Ceremony

Here are some pictures from the nursing graduation ceremony. Duncan, Gina, Diannah, and Chloe were able to come. Afterwards we ate dinner at Groggs (it's a Price tradition :) It feels so good to finally be finished with this year and to have passed all my classes! I am excited to start and work hard in the upcoming year, my last year!
