Coming Along

Things are moving right along and all of us are doing great! I did just have a little set-back with kidney stones, but that didn't last long and baby did very well through it all. I am continuing to work, probably until the week of my due date. . . . (if she lets me). Kevin is getting ready to wrap up his 2nd semester of the Architecture program, and keeping busy! We are getting very excited to meet this little girl and hope all goes well.

Getting Ready!

IT'S A GIRL!!
We are thrilled to be having a little girl. Kevin was sure it was going to be a boy and was shocked to hear the results. He is getting use to the little bows, flowers and pink things though and can't wait to be out numbered!
Here is one of the ultrasound pics, a 3D one. Yes it's a picture of a picture. . . If you can see it, it is her little arm reaching up by her forehead with her other hand in her mouth. Notice the cute little button nose!

Some good deals I have gotten. Cute bouncer seat I paid $16 dollars for a Target.

Her little corner. This bed set I got at Target for $12.50! It came with the bumper pad, quilt and sheet, I made the bedskirt to match.

A panoramic picture of our living room in our new apartment. We are loving it here.

Life Changes

1st baby bump pic - 14weeks
So to those who don't know, we are expecting!! We will be welcoming Baby Bunnell in mid-May. We are so excited to start this new chapter in our lives and will be making some changes to accommodate. We are moving into our first apartment in 2 weeks! We weren't planning on moving until about March, but we found a good place and had to take advantage of it. I will post some pictures when we get all settled. We are grateful to have lived here with Grandma and Grandpa Thompson, and are grateful for their kindness. We are sad and nervous to leave, but know that this will be a good change.

Good Recipe

Tomato Tortellini Soup

1 pkg. refrigerated cheese tortellini
2 cans (10-3/4 oz. each) condensed tomato soup (undiluted)
2 cups vegetable broth
2 cups 2% milk
2 cups half and half cream
1/2 cup chopped oil-packed sun-dried tomatoes
1 tsp. onion powder
1 tsp. garlic powder
1 tsp. dried basil
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 cup shredded parmesan cheese

Cook tortellini according to package.
Meanwhile, on the stovetop combine the soup, broth, milk, cream, tomatoes and seasonings. Heat through, stirring frequently. Drain tortellini; carefully add to soup. Stir in cheese. Sprinkle additional cheese to each serving if desired.

This was a really good soup and really easy to make. I did, however, make a few changes because I didn't have some things. I used 1% milk instead of 2%, I couldn't find any sun-dried tomatoes so I just cut some fresh ones into the soup and I used an Italian seasoning with basil in it because I didn't have just basil. It still turned out really good though!!

Funny Face

So thanks to Gina, I started and completed a wedding photo book from Shutterfly tonight! It hasbeen a long time coming. . . Anyway, as Kevin was looking at some of the wedding pics he noticed a funny face in one of the family pictures at the temple. I don't know how he caught it, but he cropped it nicely just for George to see :) And Jacob, I don't think he is very amused by this. . .

Christmas Corner

Here is our first little Christmas tree. There isn't too much room in the basement for a big tree or a lot of decorations, but the coziness of it all is really nice and of course the fireplace and Grandma's antiques add a nice touch. We are loving the holiday season and are very grateful for all that life has brought and continues to bring. Happy Holidays Everyone!!
