Christmas Season!

Here is my first attempt to making Christmas goodies. I made fudge and peanut brittle. The fudge turned out really good! The peanut brittle tasted good. . . but I forgot the baking soda. It looks slightly enemic :) So I have a while until I get as good as the rest of my family at cooking, and taking picutures of my food for that matter :)

I had to work on Christmas day so Gina, Duncan, Chloe, Diannah and I had Christmas together the weekend before. It was really nice to be together and celebrate the holiday! Mom and dad had Diannah purschase me a digital camera, Yay!! now I can finally do a better job at updating my blog and there will be a lot more pictures.

Here are some pictures I have taken since.

Diannah on our Christmas day

Check out all that snow! It was worse in Price and even drove down the canyon that night. . . I don't recommend it :)

Babysitting Chloe. She's so cute, and such a good baby!

Look at what Kevin gave me for Christmas!! It's a keyboard! Now I can finally start playing the piano again :)

Finally some things to post!

Look Who's Home!!
Yep, my bud Chase got home from his mission October 3rd. It has been fun to see him and reminice. I know you may be wondering what is happening with that. . . :) To make a long story short, we are just friends.
(Call for the long story and more details if you'd like :)

I have great roommates and friends!! Between work, school and other things we try to find some time to have fun. We are really good at that actually, but probably shouldn't as much as we do :) Life is good though, we should enjoy it!

Long Time No Blog. . .

Wow, it's been a while, sorry everyone! I have had quite the summer so far with trips, school, work, and big events happening. I will just quickly share what's been up lately. . . .

So right now I am in Price. I just finished summer classes and passed off my IV certification today!! Does anyone want to volunteer for practice? :) They only have us practice on mannequins here and pass off on a computer simulator, so the first time I give an IV to a patient, it will be the first time ever on a human. . ! Scary thought huh? Maybe I'll have to talk some people here into being my guinea pigs.

The past few weeks I have been training for my new job as an LPN. It is at the assisted living facility that I worked at as a CNA here in Price, but when I got my license, they asked if I would like to take the LPN position there. I started all by myself last Saturday and will now be working a pretty steady schedule starting on Friday. It's a really good job. It definitely took some getting used to with it being new and everything, but I think I am starting to get the hang of it!

I will also be staying busy with my new church callings, but they are definitely the best part out of all the things I am doing now. I am a Relief Society teacher and 1st counselor in the Stake Relief Society Presidency. I love being in Relief Society, it has been probably my favorite calling. Being a teacher will definitely help me learn a lot too, that is something I've never been too good at!

So here I am in Price just working and getting ready for the RN program to start on the 19th. Nothing too exciting. But I just thought I'd update my blog, my mom says she's sick of seeing that little chipmunk! Oh and sorry there are no pictures. . . When I was on my trip in Nauvoo, I dropped my camera (mom and dad's old one) and the screen busted! So, I am pictureless until I start making the bucks with my new job . . . (jk, the big bucks aren't rolling in yet :)

What I did today. . . :)

Today I hiked to Timpanogos Caves for the first time. It was really cool to walk through the caves and see all the formations. I wish I would have taken more pictures, but here is the view from the hike about half-way up to the caves and a picture of my friend feeding a chipmunk.

And then. . .

I went long boarding, for my first time, down Provo Canyon in the dark :) Sounds smart huh? It was a blast though! It was so fun I couldn't even stay on my board, jk. I was actually going pretty fast and there were some people sitting on the path. I didn't want to hit them so I was told to bail if I was going to fast to stop. . . Well I bailed and didn't quite catch my footing. I only rolled once and it didn't hurt much while it was happening, although I am a little sore now. I wasn't going to tell my mom about this, she probably wouldn't have approved, but she will end up seeing this so, I'm sorry mom. At least I updated my blog :)

Nauvoo Trip!!

Here are some pictures from the Nauvoo trip I just got back from. I went with the Price Institute. It was great, we were able to visit Independence, Liberty Jail, Far West, Adam-ondi-ahman, Haun's Mill, Nauvoo, Carthage Jail, and Winter Quarters. Curtis, Cindy and the kids were able to come see me when we were in Independence, so there are pictures of them too. It was so good to see them!

LPN Pinning Ceremony

Here are some pictures from the nursing graduation ceremony. Duncan, Gina, Diannah, and Chloe were able to come. Afterwards we ate dinner at Groggs (it's a Price tradition :) It feels so good to finally be finished with this year and to have passed all my classes! I am excited to start and work hard in the upcoming year, my last year!

Sorry guys. . .

So I realized that I haven't updated my blog in quite some time now. I'm sorry, I have just been extremely busy with a lot going on, and not to mention I have nothing too exciting to post. Anything exciting to post is already on some of the other blogs like, Diannah's homecoming, Amanda's family visiting, Madelaine's baptism etc. . . I probably won't have much until after school ends which is April 29th! Only two more weeks!! Then I will have some nursing pictures, trips and fun things from my summer plans. The institute is planning a trip to Nauvoo, so I will be going the second week of May. I am excited!! So until then. . . Wish me luck with finals!

Can we say procrastination. . .

No pictures today, but guess what I am doing right now? I am sitting in my running car, at 12:15 am, parked next to campus so I can get internet connection on my laptop. I had a midnight deadline on an assignment that was due earlier this morning. I had to work all weekend so I stayed up late finishing other assignments and just didn't get around to this one. So I talked to my professor and she said if I emailed it to her by midnight she would not take any late points off. So I finished it at 11:45 pm, jumped in my car and drove until I picked up a connection from campus. I sent it at 11: 55 pm. Whew, just in time! I just thought it would be funny to write about it because I feel pretty funny just sitting here right now. It is actually kind of making me nervous. . . but don't worry mom, my doors are locked and my phone is right next to me.

I'm Legal!!

Today is my 21st birthday. Wow, can you believe it. . . 21. My friends and I went clubbin' on Friday. (Don't worry the club was LDS approved, I'm not taking this "legal" thing that seriously:) This is a picture of me and my roommate getting all dolled up to go.

On Saturday I got together with a bunch of friends from high school, and today I had dinner with Gina, Duncan, Chad, Maizie, Madelaine, Harrison, Benjamin, Olivia, and my roommate Shaully. I have had a pretty great birthday weekend!

Here is my yummy cake that Gina and Duncan made. Olivia sure likes it!!

Something else exciting!

I cleaned my room!! Yay! Too bad I didn't take a before and after shot. . . It was pretty bad. I told my brother Nick I would put a picture of my clean room on here so here it is!

Suprise!

I must lead a really boring life when the only thing exciting enough to put on my blog is yet again something new with my hair. . . It is the only change I have had lately. But yeah, I did it. I braved up and colored my hair. Nothing too extreme, but just a little different.
